GOOSENUMBA2

We had the chance to meet up with one of the
most slept on artists from PA. He already has
a very professional sound and outlook on his music
compared to a lot of other artists. With his single
gaining momentum "Miami Freestyle" we bring to
you GooseNumba2.

Hunter: How Did You Get The Name GooseNumba2?

GooseNumba2:
I was in college out in Ohio before Covid-19, and I used to play ball in the Rec Center. Goose just became my nickname and it stuck with me. When I decided to be an artist I added Numba2 because I knew I was gonna be the shit.

Hunter: Where Are You From?

GooseNumba2:
Erie Ave , Philadelphia, PA

Hunter: When Will You Release Your Mixtape/Album?

GooseNumba2:
I don’t plan on releasing another mixtape until Spring or Summer 2022.

Hunter: Is Their Anybody You Would Want To Make A Song With?

GooseNumba2: There are plenty of people I’m interested in making songs with. Top 3 would have to be Toosii, Yung Bleu and Rico Nasty.

Hunter: When Did You Start Making Music? Who Inspired You?

GooseNumba2:
The start of 2021 is when I took music serious. I been interested for years before. Personally, my brother and my nephew motivated me the most to rap. I thought I was gonna be a producer. As far as the music industry, A boogie and Yung Bleu were my biggest influences.

Hunter: What Are Your Short Term/Long Term Goals?

GooseNumba2:
My short term goals are to keep pushing and eventually get a deal. This will help me get financially stable and more comfortable dropping songs. My long term goals are to own multiple businesses and give back to my city where its really needed. I got big plans for life and music is the strongest road their.

Hunter: Do You Write Your Songs Or Freestyle?

GooseNumba2:
I would say its a mix of both. I find it hard writing a whole song in one session so I write the hook, and some of the first verse. Then move on to a new beat. When I hit the studio the second half is mostly freestyle.

Hunter: What Upcoming Singles Do You Have Dropping?

GooseNumba2:
“Rockstar” is my next single dropping. I'm just waiting on the visual to come back. That song is high energy as you would expect but it talks about what you expect with females while being a rapper. Very relatable.

Hunter: What Struggles Do You Have When Making A Song?

GooseNumba2:
My struggles when making a song, is getting my voice to compliment the track and the message I’m attempting to send. I don't have a specific sound so any song could sound like it came from a different mind.

Hunter: What Can Fans Expect In 2022?

GooseNumba2:
Fans can expect a big improvement from last year fusure. I expect to at least triple my spotify numbers and fan base. Being a top new artist from my city is apart of the plans too. They can expect another mixtape but not before dropping at least 6 more songs. Alot of content and hard work.

Young Phet

Artists from the suburbs of Chicago have just as much
talent as artists from Chicago. A lot get discredited because they aren't from "The City". Today we had the chance to interview "Young Phet". An artist from right outside of Chicago. This is how it went!

Hunter:
How Did You Get The Name Young Phet?

Young Phet:
I actually used to go by the name Prophet.  That was when I only did boom-bap hip-hop stuff.  Then I started listening to a lot of drill music, trap music, and mainstream rap. I changed my name to Young Phet because I'm still a youngin and Phet is an acronym for Playa Has Expensive Taste.

Hunter: Where Are You From?

Young Phet:
I ain't even gon' lie, I'm from the suburbs of Chicago.  I stay in Cook County though.

Hunter: When Will You Release Your Next Mixtape/Album?

Young Phet:
I'm planning on releasing my next project in summer of 2022.  It's gon' be an EP of melodic rap.  I'm still working on the EP too.

Hunter: Is There Anybody You Would Like To Make A Song With?

Young Phet:
Man, I really wanna make a song with Justin Rarri and DC the Don.  I wanna work with a lot of people actually.  I would love to work with Asa2Times, Lil Xelly, Lil Tecca, Charlieonnafriday, Polo G, and more!  I also wanna get to work with certain videographers, cover artists, producers, and engineers.

Hunter: When Did You Start Making Music & Who Inspired You?

Young Phet:
I started making music when I was 14 I think.  I was writing lyrics to hip-hop instrumentals and rapping them with my homies; shout out Tiger shout out Pyro.  I been playing piano since I was 9, so my mentor really guided me in music.  Shout out Hans.  I was inspired to rap by my homies cuz they did it first.  I was also really influenced by people like Nas, Big L, Snoop Dogg, and others.  I changed my style when I really got influenced by Lil Herb, Lil Bibby, Speaker Knockerz, Famous Dex, and more.  That 2016 XXL Freshman Class really hit home for me.  That's when I knew I wanted to do this for real.

Hunter: What Are Your Short Term Goals/Long Term Goals?

Young Phet:
In music, my short term goal is to work with certain people and get noticed by big names and publications.  My long term goal is to have that platform so that I can start using it to promote positive messages to the public.  It's people like Cole Bennett that teach me to see the potential in myself and others.

Hunter: Do You Write Your Songs Or Freestyle?

Young Phet:
It really depends on how I'm feeling.  I'd say it's 50/50.  My first tape was written.  My 2nd tape was half freestyle and half written.  A lot of my unreleased songs are freestyles.  I just say whatever comes to my head, record a couple bars then stop.  Then do it again.  When I do write though, I try to go for metaphors and punch-lines.  Montana of 300, Lil Wayne, and people like that inspire me to craft my pen.

Hunter: How Have Fans Responded To Your New Single "Litty"

Young Phet:
My song "LITTY" is getting good traction.  It features Ronnie Rage.  He also doing big things.  Shout out Rise Above.  The song was mastered by DJ Sidereal, who is Lil Keed's official DJ.  "LITTY" is just such a happy, upbeat, dance, dope song.  I love it.

Hunter: What Struggles Do You Have When Making A Song?

Young Phet:
Sometimes I don't know how to structure my song.  Like I know what I want to say, it's just how to say it and where to put it in the song.  This is called arranging and composing lyrics.  People like Juice WRLD had no problem with this.  RIP the goat.

Hunter: What Can Fans Expect In 2022?

Young Phet:
This year in 2022, fans can expect consistency, a project, and my first music video.  Much love!
